Data & Editorial Changes
This is a public record of material corrections and editorial changes. Entries begin on July 22, 2026; we do not reconstruct earlier entries without source evidence.
How to read this record
We log a change here when it corrects a published figure, changes a material explanation, or withdraws a page that does not meet our sourcing standard. Routine layout and technical changes are not listed. Source-data updates retain the source reference year shown on each page; a publication date is not a claim that the underlying federal data is new.
July 22, 2026: Guide claim and date correction
We corrected the visible and structured update dates on How to Benchmark Your Business so they agree, and removed unsupported statements that implied universal profit-margin thresholds or a common cause of underpricing. The guide now directs readers to source-bound industry comparisons and explains their limits instead of presenting a general business-performance rule.
July 21, 2026: SBA lender-attribution correction
We excluded an SBA loan record without a valid primary bank identifier from lender attribution. The record is no longer presented as attributable to a specific lender. This was corrected in the data-processing path rather than as a one-page display change.
July 21, 2026: Legacy research pages withdrawn
We withdrew three legacy research pages from the research listing and sitemap because their narrative was not backed by a reproducible query against the live portal data. Readers are routed to current benchmark pages while replacements are published only when their calculations, source vintage, and limitations can be shown.
